To Build the capacity of Tearfund Partner Organizations in Bangladesh in ‘Advocacy on Disaster Management (DM) and Climate Change (CC)’;`Project Cycle Management-PCM’ and ‘Project Monitoring and Evaluation’

Project Synopsis

  The project target NGOs (6) of TEARFUND, which are operating in the disaster prone areas of Bangladesh to reach the disadvantaged community. The project is providing support to NGOs for developing capacity of advocay skills (methods, strategy, community mobilisation, Research skills) . At the same time PRIP is imparting knowledge and mentoring support in their action plan preparation of ddvocacy program on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change.

To enrich the conceptual understanding of 9 Tearfund Partner Organisations on Project Cycle Management (PCM) and particularly on Logical Framework, Project Formulation and Budgeting. And to strengthen the capacity of Tearfund PNGOs on Project Monitoring and Evaluation through coaching and mentoring facilitation skill of PRIP TRUST.

Project Duration one year (2009- 2010). And the Donor is Tearfund-UK

Total Budget for Advocacy Action and follow up and coaching is BDT-1,50,000 and for Training PCM and M&E coaching is BDT-5,50,000.

Major Activities:

To conduct advacacy need assessment

To design advocay training module considering disaster risk reduction and climate change

Conduct training on ”Advocacy Program considering disaster risk reduction and climate change”.

To provide mentoring support to NGOs for action plan development on disaster risk reduction and climate change through advocacy.

Organise coaching and mentoring workshop on Project Cycle Management (PCM) for PNGOS

Conduct coaching and mentoring workshop on Project Monitoring and Evaluation for 9 partner NGOs of Tearfund
